Have win 98 and have been getting e-mail from a professor friend regarding twin towers construction and his e-mail attachments do not open in english. There are lots of letters and numbers however it asks if I want to save it and if I right click it will print the e-mail but I am unable to read it on the screen. In playing around with it I did get it to say that it was MIME format and also Base 64 encoded file.

Is there a program that can de code it so I can read it on the screen instead of printing it everytime?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

the wincode link from eddie's link in his post didn't work, but here's one that does
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,1770,00.asp

old timers will remember that the goobledigook coding was how all early internet files used to be sent, often broken into numerous files because of the size.

download wincode, it'll decode the files into text or whatever format they were originally done in

if you're ok with it,

email me the ORIGINAL file - or forward the ORIGINAL email with the attachment in it to me here (my profile email) and i'll take a whack at it

[edit: sorry for the caps, but it's best if it's a clean file]
