I had ad aware 6 on my computer. I intstalled ad aware 7 without uninstalling 6. Ad aware 7 uninstalled it, but it is still on my add/remove programs list. How do I remove it from this list?

CCleaner will also perform that task.

If you're sure that Ad-Aware 2007 uninstalled Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06, do the following:

    1. Open the C:\Program Files\Lavasoft folder. If the folder for the old version is still there, delete it.

    2. Click Start - Run, type in REGEDIT, then click OK. When the registry window appears, click the + in:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    Software
    Microsoft
    Windows
    CurrentVersion
    Uninstall

Click each folder in the Uninstall menu until you find the sub-folder that pertains to Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06. Right-click that sub-folder, then click Delete - Yes.
