I am unable to save usernames & passwords in My Yahoo, My Google, MSN, even though I check the save box. Firefox is set to open with My Home Page (My Yahoo), but opens to Yahoo where I must sign in. Can you see where the problem is?

Doesn't sound like a security problem, sounds like your better off than you think.

In Firefox go to tools -> Options -> The privacy Tab -> Accept Cookies

Then Security Tab -> Remember Passwords for Sites

    Should do it.

Firefox options are set correctly and site cookies are present. Tried using IE with same result. Oh well. As you say, it's not entirely a bad thing. Thanks.

"Firefox is set to open with My Home Page (My Yahoo), but opens to Yahoo where I must sign in."
This is normal. If passwords are remembered then you will still have to click the log in button, it will just be filled in for you so you don't have to type it in everytime.

    Try this:
Go to Start/Run Type services.msc ok

Scroll down to Protected Storage and make sure that it is set to Automatic and the service is started

Apologize for delayed response--have been away without access. I have checked the Protected Servcices which is set to Automatic, Started. Yahoo, Hotmail, Google and most other internet sites will not remember name or password, although "Remember Me" is checked. A few will remember password after entering username. This is a recent change in my system and I have made no system changes that I know of. Previously, opening Mozilla opened My Yahoo, My Google, etc with no signin. Even those sites requiring a signin each time remenbered the information for a simple click. Using a private computer, I have always kept my site signins remembered. (My husband's computer opens to his personal My Yahoo directly, so I tried saving my info on his computer to open my personal page. Guess what--it remembered the information.) Obviously, this is not a disabling problem, but it is an inconvenience. I do appreciate all suggestions.
