hi, I have a Win98 computer and an XP pro laptop, both can ping each other through a router, laptop can see computer in the workgroup, and access the computers shared files.

The laptop doesn't appear in the workgroup, and can't be mapped either.

Both connect wirelessly to the internet via router, with no problems.

Both have netbeui and netbios over tcp/ip enabled

    All help appreciated,

    Steve

Not really. My laptop with a wireless connection has no problems sharing files both ways on my network.
