So I put this DVD of a tv show into my CD drive. I opened it in my computer to see the files in it. But I didn't see anything. I tried checking the folder options and chose the setting of, "show hidden folders". But I still can't see anything.
    What might be the problem?

    Hi and welcome to TSG.

A CD drive can not read a DVD. You need a DVD drive or a combination CD/DVD drive. If the disc is commercially made, it most likely has copy protection encryption and requires compatible software to play the contents.
