My computer will not shutdown or restart unless I manually push the button(s) on the tower... Regardless of whether it's running in Safe mode, or even on a clean boot it will just hang after it tells me it's shutting down.

    Suggestions?

I'm still having to forcefully shut down my computer since I made this post. I'll try and explain in more detail...

Everytime I try to shut down or restart my PC, it goes through the shutting down process, saving my settings etc, then it'll just come to a blank blue screen (not BSOD) and hang, no errors or anything.

I have no idea what's causing this...

Could it be a dead process that's failing to close?

I guess my PC is ACPI–compliant then, learn something new every day.

But I still can't restart or shutdown normally :D .
