Using Windows 98, upgraded from Win95, I installed the game Jeopardy from a CD. Now when I boot up I get as far as the user password screen where I usually hit cancel, and now I get following error message: this program has cause an illegal operation and will be shut down. Explorer caused an invalid page fault #C0000005 in module EXPLORER.EXE at 0177.00401f31
I have recently changed my msconfig settings to manually select programs at startup, which resolved a previous problem of computer not shutting down. Don't know if this could be part of this problem.
