Yesterday, we had 3 power surges in our village, causing my pc to switch on and off 3 times. This has caused some problems with my McAfee Security Centre. Every time I logged on to the Internet, it asked me all sorts of questions like should this program and that program be allowed to connect to the Internet. And even when I ticked the box that said remember this answer for next time, it still asked the questions again.
My problem is that I want to uninstall McAfee and start again, but I can't. I've tried to delete all mention on the software as McAfee suggested, and even the registry entries. It won't let me delete McAfee Security Centre. I get the message 'Class not registered'. When I click ok, I get 'The uninstallation cannot continue because McAfee HTML dialog component was not found on the computer.'
Can anyone tell me how I can remove this software. I don't want to have to reinstall my pc.

Have you tried simply reinstalling without first removing? Sort of like doing a repair?

Yes. Re-installing or even repair, doesn't re-install all the software. I need to totally remove any trace of McAfee.
