I used to have no problems viewing contents of http://uk-tv-guide.com/list/BBC+1+London/5+January+2011/ or any other channel. For the last few days, the page is blank in IE8, though it is visible in Firefox or Chrome. In IE8, all I get is a list of channels on the left, and today. tomorrow and the rest of the week on the right, but no listing. Have not made any changes in my laptop, so am not sure why this is happenning. Many thanks for your help.

I also see the same problem, so it won't be your computer. What is actually happening is that the bar on the left is wider in IE than it is in other browsers. As this took more space, everything on the right of that bar can't fit and has been shifted down to the bottom.

If you add it to the list of pages to use compatibility view it will appear properly. Simply click the Tools Menu and then click Compatibility View.

It sometimes shows the site, but more often, the site just flashes before the items disappear. The compatibility view is ticked. Many thanks.

It is nothing to do with you & is definitely the site at fault
You will never get it displayed in IE properly so either use a different TV listings site or use Firefox as a browser for that site

It is using a defective javascript to load up pages and IE with its increased security doesn't like it
