Hello,
Most websites I brows the graphics are blank with the little color square in the corner....also I can't few anything that requires Flash. When I went to Macromedia to download Flash and clicked on the download button...it wouldn't download. And I still can't see allot of graphics on websites.

I have Spybot, Adware and Spyware Blaster...I'm not sure if this is why I am having this problem.

Sincerely,
Joyoflife

It probably has to do with your IE settings and not the programs. You might want to look in your browser at Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom and see what you might have blocked that prevents the viewing.

Also, if you have a firewall, you may have the viewing blocked there.

okay I checked and it is set to Medium. And the ActiveX for signed is set to "Prompt" and for unsignes is set to disable, Initialized Scrypt is on Disable Am I save to Enable everything in there?
Internet Zone Security is on High and Trusted Zone Security is on Medium for ZoneAlarm Firewall

It is probably ZoneAlarm. Buck is right, turn ZA off and see if it works then.

If it is ZA Pro, you can turn on your Privacy advisor by going to Privacy > Main > Cookie Control >Custom, and enable "Privacy Advisor". Then go to the page or pages where the problem occurs. A Privacy Advisor Alert will come up with a link on it. Click that link and when it takes you to the Site List page, click on "Options" and turn off what you have turned on until it works. Have I got you good and confused yet?

Also, if you are using XP, turn the XP firewall off.

I dont have access to another PC until my Husband gets home from a business trip in November :(

I turned off my firewwall. I tried "Enable" on my security settings for ActiveX, I tried "Repair" for Internet Explorer 6.0 and I also tried to add the download site of Macromedia to my "Trusted Sites" list but still none of these worked..I still can't see Flash and I get the blank squares on some websites.

When I click on install it says in the lower left corner instead of "done" it says "error" but it doesn't say why.

Have Hijack This fix those.

And take these out of your startups via start, run, msconfig, ok, startup tab......They don't need to run at startup.

O4 - Startup: Adobe Gamma Loader.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration\Adobe Gamma Loader.exe
O4 - Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

And do you use this???

O4 - Startup: Event Reminder.lnk = C:\Program Files\Broderbund\PrintMaster\PMremind.exe

Nothing that sticks out like a sore thumb,, just these three

It may be that the shockwave ActiveX control is corrupted

Go to C\Windows\Downloaded Program Files
Find the Shockwave Flash Object and delete it

Restart your computer and go back to Shockwave
