    Hi,

I can't write any data on any partition of my hard drive. When I try to, here is an alert:
"Disk is protected from writing. Remove safety switch or use another one."
(translated from Polish as I'm not fully English-speaking). I just can't save/edit anything on any partition of my HDD. This is my second disk, not the bootable one.

    OS: MS Windows XP Pro
    HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 32MB cache

    Thanks for help!

Try reformatting and cleaning the HD. Use DBAN (http://dban.sourceforge.net/). This should clean the entire hard drive and restore all settings to normal so the HD won't be protected.
