So I have this HP dv9500t laptop with a webcam installed on it. Now I know how to record and I know that it picks up audio via the microphones installed near the webcam. But I have a TV that enables me to hook up my PC to it along with an audio cable.

What I need help with is capturing the audio directly to my computer using the audio cable and not from the microphone. (Microphone is not very good quality coming from the TV)

How would I go about doing that?

    Thanks,
    Mike
