carnt conect to aol ? is it norton? help?

    hi guys hopeing u can help me again !!

    when i try to sign on to aol (on my other computer ) i get to the last stage of checking passwords ect.. and error msg appears

    a notice from symthetic - norton
    cannot scan emails
    configue

    i rang aol several times they went through all the checks and are stumpted.

    a friend of mine told me to uninstall nortan completely and try & sign on to aol again !!

    i wasnt sure if it was safe to do this also i downloaded norton on line & registered when i first got comp. but dont have reg number any more ??

    how will i get nortan re-installed again ? can i use my friends disc "norton system works 2003" ?

    dont i need a code ??

    please help

    goto options under norton antivirus and disable email scanning

    done that still the same !!!! ????


    should i uninstall norton all together ?

    If you want you can uninstall norton. Why would you want to connect to aol anyways? You can get CABLE from comcast for the same price...

    you didn't mention if you were using a fire wall or not but norton has a problem with zone alarm sometimes ....
