Case sensitive means when your Caps Lock is turned on. The letters can be BIG, like that, or can be small. That is especially important when you're logging into an account. Don't turn Caps Lock on when you're typing in a password, but if you have capital letters in your password then using Caps Lock could help.

It means sensitive to upper or lower case letters.

i.e. If a password is created in all lower case letters, it'll reject some or all typed in upper case, or vice versa.
