Hello. My name is Nichole and I was om my Windows 7 netbook transfering some pictures of my kids from my phone to a file on the desktop of the netbook and as it finished this window popped up and said "Catastrophic failure" and then all my pictures were just gone. I thought i found some of them but theres no way to be sure as i had a few hundred pictures on my phone and after was only able to locate 132. Is there anyway i can get the pictures back?

Was the "Catastrophic failure" on the phone or PC?

Were you moving instead of copying the photos?

Where are the 132 now--on the phone, PC or both?

Maybe some or all the missing photos were stored but deleted or not "finalized" on the PC. If so, a data recovery program may get some back. Examples include Recuva Portable and Restoration.exe.

There may be similar utilities for whatever phone you have.
