This new 1.28.277 version replaces the current 1.27.260 version. You can download it from here.

If you were providing a free program, I imagine you would want to secure some form of payment if you could. Presumably, Yahoo pays anyone that promotes or registers downloads/installs of the toolbar.

As long as the user is made aware that the toolbar is there, and is given the option not to have it (as in this case), then it does no harm as it helps to keep the program available for nothing.

I didn't see anything having to do with a Yahoo toolbar. What are you seeing? Did I miss something?

The only way that the Yahoo toolbar is going to install is if you accept the default settings during the install process. I select what I want or don't want.

I reinstalled Java the other day and now it also has the option of installing the dreaded Yahoo toolbar.

Yahoo is on it's way to world domination. Well, maybe I exaggerated a little.

Yes, you can install the new version of CCleaner over the old version without having to uninstall the old version first.
