    problem:
    1. Itunes was recently updated
    2. CD drive started having problems connecting every now and then
    3. Tried to 'burn' a cd from itunes this morning but got a message: 'drive not found'
    4. Tried a couple of other cds got the same message
    5. Eject button stops working (had to use a paperclip)
    6. CD drive vanishes from 'My Computer'
    7. Did a system reset, but CD drive still gone
    8. Downloaded a MS Fix for CD drives but got a message: No CD drive on this computer
    9. Read through gazillion posts re the same problem, but still need updated info.
