I have a cd drive and a dvd drive. I have Windows 98 and Windows XP installed on my computer. The drives both work fine on Windows 98 and on Windows XP in save mode. In Windows XP regular mode however, they are not found.

Windows XP totally ignores them it seems, they just don't show up, not in the hardware control panel and not at "my computer" or anywhere.

They show up fine on my secundary IDE in the BIOS.

Anyone who knows what might be the problem?

There are no errors like this in the Device Manager shown.

Johnwill's regedit didn't work for me, still nothing shows up.

I updated my BIOS, and now it's working... GREAT!

Thanks for trying to help me!
