Hello. I'm burning a data cd at home (in XP with Nero), but it won't read on my computer at work. I'm a teacher trying to haul in things to work. The computer at work is an older pc, running 98 (se I think), and has a creative labs 32x cdrom. It reads other cds, just not burned ones. I did try installing the UDF reader from Roxio at work, but that didn't make a difference. I thought it might be because it's a 700 mb cd, but I would think the drive could read that. I didn't know if there was a way I could burn a cd to be compatible with that older system. If people could throw out some ideas, I'll burn a few and try. Thanks for any help.

Most older CD drives have a hard time reading burnt CD's. Your best bet is to try one of those CD lens cleaning kits.

But is a Creative Labs 32x cd drive an old unit?
