hello folks,

i'm a newbie here and only have a basic knowlege of computers so please be patient with me.

ok here goes, i have a compaq computer with win.me and i was having a lot of problems with error mesages and it kept freezing and crashing. so my wife transfered all of our documents and files to a disk and we dumped it all and reinstalled windows from the recovery disk. we seem to have solved our problem because everything is working well except that the cd-rom will not run the disk we made of our files. we also have a disk with our pictures on it that we made and that used to work ok but it wont read that one either. all of our kids game cds work fine and all the driver disks for our scanner and printer etc. were ok. but when i put in either of the cds that we made it says please insert disk into drive.

my computer has two disk drives one is for burning and one for reading this could be a real BIG problem if i can't open this disk.

please help me
thanks rich. :(
