CD-rom problem? Please help!

I have stored my favorite media on a couple of cds, I have looked at them before. But now when i put the cds in there is no icons or anything in the folder, I click on properties and it says that a percent has been used, but i cant find any of it. and sometimes files come on the folder that i never put on it. please help. thanks.
p.s. i have win 98, drive is E:/, and it is a compaq

Hi BradN10, welcome to TSG....

Can you do a start button, find files and folders, select the cd where it says "look in" and hit the find now button....what kind of files appear? By chance .lnk at the end?

the files that show up is a mmssetup and a quick time movie each time a insert a new cd and i never put those on the cds, thanks
