Hello,
this is my first post here so I might be quite unfamiliar with your "customs".
I was watching a movie (purchased/dvd) in VLC and hit pause and after a while play
and then again pause. After this the CD-ROM driver stopped responding and even though
I have restarted the computer, tried your fixcd.reg script (John), did a Windows search and fix and
it didn't work. Now I'm becoming hesitant if a hardware problem has developed or if it's just the
software. Does this problem sound familiar? Otherwise you can ask me a few questions and we can try to troubleshoot.

Thank you

Julius

Oh, and I've got no error message for my CD-rom driver. It says it works absolutely perfect.
Besides it kind of smells like burnt when I take out the CD, that's what makes me thinking of a hardware
problem.
