cd-rom

    my cd rom is not working and the computer says I don't have one I tryed re-enstalling it but that doesn't work either.....HELP!

    which one of the F keys do I use to get to the windows start up menue???

    I assume you mean the Start Menu. If so, use the Windows key.


    (edit)I only saw the 3rd post and thought someone wanted a keyboard shortcut. My bad,lol.

    F 8 if you mean the one where you can start in safe mode, go to a command prompt, etc.

    PM from poster (if you'll reply to the thread, it'll be easier, I may be away and others can help too)

    so is my cd rom is not working can't I use my recovery cd if I'm on the windows start up menue?? is so how do I do it? I've done it before but I can't remember how it's been so long.

    I'm not sure what you are asking? Do you want to put the computer back to the way it was when you got it? I think the cdrom should auto start if you have the cdrom set as first boot device.
