CD Rom

My daughters CD Rom doesn't work at all, sometimes when she puts a CD in , she gets a blue screen, and she has to restart the computer.
Other times when she puts a CD in the light goes out on the CD Rom. And when the light does stay on she gets an Error Message. says Error reading CD Rom JSISGG .
Do you think she needs a new CD Rom.

I am having the same problem but try this:
on your desktop right click my computer and then left click
on properties. Next click on device manager. Now click on the plus
sign next to cd-rom and highlight the driver that pops up underneath. click on remove at the bottom of the window and then click on ok . restart your comp and it should install a new driver.
