Am using a Compaq Presario 5000 with Windows ME. My disk drives are A Compaq CD-ROM and a Phillips CD-RW. When I put a blank disk into either drive the msg is "disk is full", When I use MY COMPUTER and check the disk space on both the D and E drives,it shows the disk full even though the disk in each drive is a new blank.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

A New CD has to be formatted - I'm sure the CPQ has cd software to do that like ROxio.

What burning sofware are you using? It had better not be roxio.

CDs have to be burned with a burning program such as Nero or Roxio; CD-RWs can be burned (and erased, if required) with the aforementioned OR formatted (with Nero InCD or Roxio EasyCD) and then used like a large floppy.
    So, more details needed, please!
