Being the stubborn individual I am I still cannot find any solution after 5
hours of researching and grinding for a solution. I had my old 4x CD-RW
running fine and working with built in burning features with Easy CD Creator
Plat, with correct patches. Burning software was working and built in
burning functions were working including Windows XP Media Player burning
functions.
Here is some bizarre stuff.
My CD-RW has a official Designed for Windows XP Logo.
Windows XP loaded a driver and Yamaha does not supply drivers just firmware.
They use Windows XP Drivers.
1) Insert a blank CD-R the CD-R Icon appears. Insert a blank CD-RW and the CD-RW icon appears, that is correct. But than Double click either icon I get a H:\ is not accessible
incorrect function.
2) Windows XP will recognize and play a music CD
3) Windows XP will recognize a old backup CD with data on it.
4) When I try to copy files to depository in Windows XP I get H:\ is not
accessible also.
5) Windows Explorer changes Icons representing the blank icons being
inserted in the CD-RW.
6) But Windows Media Player recognizes the media and allows us to burn
music to the CD-R or CD-RW. Records it and ejects the CD-that it is
supposed to do. The only thing it will not do is allow me to copy data.
Weird and frustrating.
7) Please help!!
8) I presently have no burning software loaded with these symptoms!!
There are some screwed up things with Roxio's burning software they wrote in
Windows XP. Why are these weird things happening.
Need a fix, any superstar's out there that could help me!
