I am trying to load a CD interactive training CD from a textbok. I keep getting the message that:

"OLE File COMPROBJ is locked and cannot be updated"

This is a CDROM...shld load, but I tried Add/Remove; Install' Run\Set Up, etc.

Anyone have any idea what the error is and how to work around if needed?

    Thanks!

That error is usually recieved because of programs conflicting. Try hitting CTRL>ALT>DEL, then end task on everything but explorer.
Now insert the disk and try to run the program.

do a search for the file
when you find it right clck it
    select properties
if one of the check box's is set to read only click the archive check box
apply then that file can be written to

if the file is found on the cd then it cant be changed
