    It's a pleasure to be a part of this informative Forum...thank you(y)

I recently got the BSOD...and the fix for it was to install Service Pack 2. Well, before that...I could play my Sims 2 OFB without a problem. Now...I can't get it to continue...only up to 75% then a crash to my desktop. I have DX current...I updated drivers to sound/video...I deleted all the Windows security crap and nothing...the CD is not scratched...the CD/DVD drive is connected...brand new harddrive...??

EA suggested that I disable compatibility mode in the Shortcut menu to OFB...to none...did that which got the game moving...but as explained above...only partially before the crash.

Any ideas would be so very welcome...as (though I'm sad to admit) this game is my life. I've taken up skinning and the likes and this is all I use my PC for.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have:confused:
