CD Writer test?

HI

I just bought a CD writer Yamaha 16x10x40 and the guy from the store told me I had to make some kind of test with a data CD and then with a Music CD before I start to use my CD Writer, well I just installed Nero 5.5.5.1 and I haven't see nothing about testing, all I see is a wizard windows to start burning.

Do you guys know anything about this test and what should I do?

Hey,

With most burning software there's an option to "test" the CD prior to the actual writing process. I know that Adaptec DirectCD offers this. Maybe its an option that just isn't available in Nero?
As far as I can tell, you don't HAVE to test the CD first, it's just recommended.
