Hello,
Someone gave me a computer (6x86 150+) which I took apart and rebuilt. I transfer the system into a new case and installed windows off the CDROM. I then had to put the system back into the original case and now the bios will not detect the cdrom. I've cleared the CMOS, tried it on each channel, checked jumpers. Can't seem to get it to pick up. When it posts it detects the hdd, stays on primary slave for a while, the stays on secondary master for a while, then continues booting. It skips over secondary slave detection. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm going to go look for a bios update.
