Is a 2mb buffer for a CDRW drive really that bad? I'm thinking about getting an Aopen CRW4850 because I can get one for like $50. its 48 x 12 x 50. What makes a 2mb buffer "bad?" Is it worth getting it for a good price like that?

I wouldn't worry about that at all. Now all the burners have "Burn-Proof" and the so called "Buffer Underrun" is past. That means no matter if 16MB or 2MB, the burner waits on a right place till the buffer is full again to go on burning.

With the buffer under run protection they have now 2 mb should be plenty and which most seem to come with now. If you want to check prices go to the link below. they have a lot on there with good prices.
