Hmm, well this might be silly but u do know that only NEW cd-r discs can be burned don't u? And after u burn even one 1 kb file on it, u can;'t but anything on it anymore?
And if u have cd-rw u need a nero version which supports them, well u probably do.

Oh also i forgot to mention, u probably also need to update the drivers for your cd-rw drive, because win 98 sure as hell won't have them, infact this probably is the basis of the problem.
Go to your cd-rw manufacturer's page and dl the latest drivers for your OS.

CD or CD-RW drives don't require any additional drivers, so looking for them will be a waste of time. All you need for a CD-RW drive with Nero is any version of Windows W98 or later, don't really know about W95 anymore.

If it is internal it needs no drivers but if it is external it sometimes has interface drivers. It is a good idea to go to BusLink and get the latest firmware.

You can use any blank CDR in any burner. There can be incompatibilities between high speed and low speed RW, but not CDR. You just have to burn at the speed the disc is capable of.

If the burner can read regular factory pressed CDs like a CD-ROM drive it is installed OK and you have a software problem. If it wonÂ’t read say a regular audio CD then the installation is wrong.

Is it showing up in device manager? As a drive in windows explorer?

I'd download the 5.5.10.50 update for your Nero, it's a free download.

Ahhh, I went to their website, but it was as confusing at hell, and I didn't find any 'update' option in nero, could you please chase up the download link for me?
