Celeron vs. Pentium

    Ok guys! I'm trying to talk Dad into getting a new computer. What is the difference between the Celeron & Pentium? Thanks! Lisa

    A pentium has more memory on the chip itself, making it faster. If you run more than 1 application at once, or play games, i would reccomend a true pentium. It makes for a better computing experience..

    Although, the OLD celerons rocked!
    My ancient celeron 300a has been OC'd at 466mhz (and always on) for 5+ years. At the time, it was cranking faster than the best pentium for sale... Not bad for a $60 chip.
