    Hi,

I have installed CentOS 5.4 i386 fresh on to my PC. It installed successfully and after reboot it freezes on the line:

    [Linux-bzImage Setup=0....]

That is not the full line, but the start of it.

This has happened to me twice now and I have tried re-installing.

It is possible that the CentOS's old kernel can't cope with your video card or other hardware.

Other newer Red Hat family members like Fedora, with up to date kernels, will perform better.
