hey guys, i know HDD's are much more delicate than other PC parts and was wondering if the drive could be damaged during postage? i know how rough mail is treated as i used to work in the industry.

would i be better off just buying a HDD from a regular PC store instead of buying from an online shop to avoid the damage during postage?

Well, i have bought a fair amount of hard drives off websites such as ebuyer.com and ebay.co.uk

I haven't had any problems with any of the hard drives I have bought. I have even used the hard drive S.M.A.R.T monitor feature to check the drive health and all of them have been at least 97% health (which is fine for a HD)

Also if you think about it any way. All the shops get their items delivered to them via mail or courier so I guess they would be treated the same on the way to the shop any way.
