change of sound driver

    hello
    i have a tamota motherboard, i got a cd with it
    in this cd there was a driver for sound named crystal audio and model cs4299
    now i wanted to ask can i change this driver to some other driver
    if yes then which driver would work with my motherboard
    this coz i tried some windows default driver which dosent works
    so plzz help

    No, you can't just pick any old driver. You must use one that is for your sound card.......there maybe updated drivers, but why would you have tried changing it to begin with?

    Put it back to the one that is on the cdrom.

    coz
    one my games(cricket 2002) is giving me some problems
    it is mention in their Readme file
    that it wont work with crystal audio drivers
    that is y i wanted to change them

    It would appear that the game may not be compatible with your soundcard then............trying to change drivers, doesn't change the soundcard's capabilities.

    Hi, as above, the only drivers that will work with your Crystal sound system are the ones provided with your PC. You could try a web search for a patch that may fix this particular problem.

    that what i wanted to change the driver of it
    but then i dont know which driver to install
    i am not good when it comes to sound & video card
    plzz help me
