Does anyone know how to change the size of a compact flash card so that it reads as a smaller card, that is, fool the computer into thinking it is smaller? I know it can be done because I have a 512 MB and 2GB in my hand that both read as 256MB, viewing it in the BIOS. I have a computer that can't boot off a CF larger than 256. Trouble is you can't readily find anything less than 1GB in the stores. The company that supplies me charges a lot for these doctored CFs.
