I recently changed my ISP from Juno to Earthlink, and I want to know how to change the default e-mail so that when I click on a link for an e-mail address on a web page, it goes to my new e-mail setup instead of Juno.

Go to tools>internet options>programs tab>click the down arrow next to email and choose the one you want.

OE/Extra/Accounts.

Highlight the account of your choice , and click 'Set as Default'.

Good luck, Tony

Tony, How do I get from OE to Extra and Accounts? OE still thinks I am using Mindspring, and it won't send anything in my out box.

Is extra the same as tools? Just wondering the difference in language.

In my Dutch version it says 'extra'. It's probably 'tools' in an English language version.

But these are separate things.

You were talking about default e-mail programs, and I was talking about making an e-mail account the default account, because that's what I think PD75 really meant.

For I suppose he isn't using a different e-mail program, but only wants to send mail through a different provider.

I hope I'm not misinterpreting the question.

Cheers,

I couldn't find "tools" anywhere. I am using IE 4.0, and the settings for the later versions might be different.

You must be able to view and edit the settings for your accounts somewhere in Outlook Express, even in v. 4.0, I assume?!?

Take a long look at the menu options

Good luck,

Are you recieving mail from those accounts in Outlook Express? If so then that is the tools we are talking about. Click on each button of the toolbar and look for accounts.
