I have to change my email address because my ISP has a different provider. How can I send the same email to everyone in my address book? Also how can I export (import?) my address book to my new provider? Will appreciate any help or tell me where I can find instructions to do this. Thanks

I need to clarify. I use Netscape Messenger and want to transfer my address book (also bookmarks)
from my old ISP to my new ISP. I have copied my address book to a floppy but cannot get it into the address book on the Netscape Messenger of my new ISP. I'm frustrated--can you help. Many thanks.

For the importing and exporting have a look here:

and this is about backing them up

I assume you're using Outlook express.

I don't know if this will work, as I don't use Outlook, but here goes.

Select the addresses you want in your address book. Click File | Export and save it in My Documents. Write your email, and put the Distribution file name (the one you saved) in the TO or CC.

Most ISP's will forward any emails from your old account to your new account for a limited time so if anyone does send a message to the old address you will still get it. Generally your address book stays with the application you are using for an email client unless you have web based email like hotmail. If your email client is Outlook, OE or something loaded on your hard drive don't worry about it. Notifying everyone with Outlook is easy, and all you have to do is create a personal distributin list within your address book and add all the names to it.
