changing file extension

    I changed a file extension to .doc i want it to go back to .wps how can i do this.. if i right click on it like i did the first time to change it.. it dont give me the option to change the file extension. any help would be appreciated.. thanks

    just renaming the file extension right?
    not the file association (ie which program opens the file)

    highlight the file in windows explorer
    press F2
    change the name/extension to what you want
    - may get an error warning about changing extension, ignore it

    btw: to change the association
    highlight
    hold shift key and right click
    menu option should include 'open with...'
