    Hi,
The icons that I create on my desktop from web pages change to a generic windows icon after a short period. How can I prevent this and keep the original icons?

    Thanks,
    Bigc2673

Thanks for the information. I will try your suggestions. I am impressed with your knowledge. How were you able to assemble so much information in such a short time, about a particular problem?

What is the quickest way to update the favicons on my desktop, now that I've installed FavOrg and updated my favs in the fav folder?

    Thanks for all your help

Not sure, never done it just know that it can be done - I suspect it is a one at a time effort.

Thanks for all your effort! I tried sending shortcut to desktop on renewed favicons but it appeared in the generic windows format.

    Right click the short cut

Properties - change short cut - point to the fav icons folder
