How do I change/customize the log-in screen, (blue logo screen with the users' names) background and the log-in screen, screen saver, (black with WinXP logo)?

    hkey_users_.default

    Go to control panel\desktop

There is where you can change the dfault screensaver and the default background that is displayed before someone logs in.

Under the colors is where you will find the background. This has to be in the form of x x x like the one that is already there. A name value will not work, you have to use 0 0 0 to get black, or 255 255 255 for white.
