I have a HP Laserjet 1000 series printer and was told to best print a document that I should change my page margins to .5 inches......

I am lost....How do I change this in my printer? I have looked and looked and cannot find how to do it....

    Would appreciate all help!!

    Thank you very much..

Margins are set from within the software that you are using, i.e. Word, Works, WordPefect etc. I do not know of any printer that allows you to set document margins from hardware. Printers do have a minumum area to which they cannot print. That area may go down to the actual edge (borderless) of the page. I also do not know why anyone would say that there is a "best" margin. Margins are dependent upon content and preference. There is no "best" margin for documents.
