Most ISP's will do forwarding of messages for a limited time if you ask them. Outlook will not automatically transfer to hotmail as far as old messages and addresses, you will have to transfer them over manually. Hotmail can receive POP mail from another server if you set it up. If you are worried about your OL addresses they reside locally on your hard drive.

in Hotmail you can set up the pop server to download new incoming mail ... also you can save the address book in OE to your document files so you at least can read it & load it to hotmail addressbook.

Open the inbox & On the right hand column look for Calender & then Hotmail services...... under that is POP... takes you right to the place you fill in the server name from your POP mail.

It's right in the options section under additional options. Click the link for POP Mail Retrieval Settings and enter the POP server info.
