    Hi there,
When I enter a password on my dial-up connection my XP seems to add some characters to this. This is only evident when I my connection fails and I reopen dial-up.

    You mean asterisks.
The dial up interface displays a set number of asterisks in the password box, regardless of the actual length of the password. you can see this if the option "remember paswrd" is checked.

    But everything wrks fine, yes?
(As much as this is possible, with Windows, I mean)

    Daniel.
