My file has changed to 05 [1] from JPEG, and I can not get them to be a picture when I right click to save as. How do I get JPEG back?

To change, for example, <image.05> to a jpeg, where the original file was an image, just rename the file <image.jpg>

On the broader question, make sure that when you "Save As" the "Save as File type" (the box below "Save As") is showing .jpg

Another thing, what program are you using to save the files?
