Charging issues

Recently I dropped my laptop. Now the charge cord won't slide all the way in and it falls out very easily. I have even tried a new cord. It seems to me that the part that the cord goes into is bent. Is there any possible way to fix this without getting an entirely new computer? If it helps at all, I have an Alienware m17 R3 that is only a few months old. It does still charge but I'm just a bit worried.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

A quick check shows that you can remove the power port connector.

Service manual for your Alienware machine

page 54 is where you would look at. It doesn't appear to be too difficult and when you do remove that part, you can test it to make sure the ac adapter can fit it. If it does then you may have another part blocking it

Depending on the extent of physical damage, you may want to get Dell to fix it. I don't think they will charge too much if you don't have accidental warranty coverage.
