The Enable page hit counting is great for Web site creators who want to know what pages you're viewing even when you're off-line. But you're the one who has to put up with a log file being kept on your hard disk by the content provider. Uncheck this one too. Notify when downloads are complete is one of the uglier facets of IE 5. Deselect this and you'll be happier downloading files.

    Thank you brianF
Why wouldn't you want to be notified when downloads are complete?
