choppy mic communication in cs

    i have choppy voice communication in cs, butit works in every other thing, like sound recorder. My sound program is Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 and Apparently I have updated drivers and stuff so any help is appreciated :( Please Respond A.S.A.P.

    You could have just bumped your other thread...

    Have you run the voice_tweak utility in the CS folder?

    type the following in your CS console followed by enter:

    cl_updaterate "40"

    cl_cmdrate "100" (average FPS)

    rate "20000"

    yah i've done voice tweak and thosecommands don'twork but they do make it better
    um i did cl_showfps 1 and apparently my average fps s 6 so i don't quite know what to do,

    That's a pretty bad fps...type "net_graph 3" in the console, and see what your fps reads from there... if it's still really low, then make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card.

    By the way, what video card are you using?

    Yeah my average fps is 7, pretty sad, but I think my sound card is sound blaster PCI128 but i'm not sure if that's the card or driver

    That's the card, but the fact that you're playing at 7 fps is pretty bad...

    What video card do you have, and what mode/resolution are you running CS in?

    umm... put cl_cmdrate "30" then.

    Try playing at 640x480 or w/e

    I'm running at 800 x 600 but ill try going to 640 x 480 and try that console command

    um it's not really working , but it does improve it. should i put in the other console commands? maybe with different numbers?

    Click Start->Run, type 'dxdiag' (without quotes), hit OK, let the program finish, then hit the Save Information button, and post it all here.

    Your video drivers are outdated - get the latest ones by clicking here. Actually, get the latest version of DirectX first, by clicking the DirectX link on that page. After that's installed, install the drivers (the first link on that page).
