Reaching out to see if anyone is familiar with troubleshooting the following error when I try to open my Google Chrome browser. It appears as Chrome attempts to load the home page, but crashes before it does.

"The instruction at 0x3f8bf00f referenced memory at 0x0000000. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program

All other browsers and applications seem to work fine. Tried opening Chrome in safe mode and had no issues. Tried a reinstall but issue remained. Running on Windows 7. Can provide additional system info if necessary.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Are you using the latest version of Chrome ? Maybe a hard drive test is also in order ( drive > properties> tools tab > check button

If that was chrome's safe mode rather than Windows safe mode, then one of your extensions is probably causing the issue.
Disable half your extensions and see if you have the problem. If so, it is one in the group that is enabled.
